Nga Le
Born in Vietnam, Nga Lee was driven to succeed. From first through 12th grade, she finished among the top five students in her class, and became the first student from that school to attend Foreign Trade University, the top university in Vietnam. Upon graduation, Nga began working as a personal assistant for a tennis coach who went on to open Saigon Sports Academy (SSA). Despite her lack of experience in the sports industry, Nga continued to excel in her role and was soon promoted to sports business and operations director at SSA.
Alongside this role, Nga launched She Will Be Strong (SWBS), a social enterprise created to inspire and provide a safe space for women to be physically and mentally healthy. SWBS organizes courses in yoga, dance, and self-defense for company employees; when these businesses purchase wellness courses, certified instructors deliver classes on-site, at the office, or a location chosen by the business. Well over half of the income generated from these courses goes to the Social Impact Fund, which supports pregnant single mothers and offers vocational training for victims of harassment and domestic violence.
